Hon. Ndaitwah has been the SWAPO Chief Representative to Central Africa (1978 to 1980) and East Africa (1980 to 1986). She obtained an M.A. in Diplomatic Studies in 1989 at Keele University, UK.
Hon. Ndaitwah was a member of the Constituent Assembly and since 1990 a member of Parliament. She has been Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs (1990 to 1996), the Director General (ministerial rank) of the Department of Women Affairs in the President’s Office (1996 until March 2000) and since April 2000 the Minister of Women Affairs and Child Welfare.
She is a member of the SWAPO Central Committee, has been appointed Deputy Secretary General of SWAPO (1996) and has been an elected member of the Political Bureau since 1997.
